Mission Statement
The mission of the Saint Paul Clown Club is to serve our community through laughter and kindness. The club continues a proud tradition of civic service by bringing joy and entertainment to the community, fostering connection, positivity, and fun for all ages through the tradition of clowning.
History
The St. Paul Clown Club was founded in 1946 by a group of veterans during the St. Paul Winter Carnival. What began as a small group of performers dedicated to bringing laughter to parades and community celebrations has grown into the oldest continuously operating clown club in the United States.

For over eight decades, members of the St. Paul Clown Club have entertained audiences across Minnesota through parades, festivals, charity events, and community celebrations. Our clowns represent a wide variety of performance styles, but all share the same goal to create smiles, laughter, and memorable moments for people of all ages.
Beyond entertainment, the club is committed to preserving the traditions and skills of clowning while encouraging new performers to explore the art form. Through fellowship, mentorship, and shared performances, we continue to pass along the spirit of clowning to the next generation.
Today, the St. Paul Clown Club remains an active part of the Minnesota community, proudly carrying forward a legacy of laughter that started it all.
